Introduction:

 

Our client is a start-up FinTech business in the UK but backed by an International business firmly established and so well capitalised.  They operate an innovative and proven mortgage processing solution for both conveyancers and lending providers which they are launching into the UK market.  You will join a team of skilled and passionate people whose culture centres around collaboration and inspiring impact. 

 

They are growing rapidly and are looking for a skilled User Experience Designer to join their team and bring the next property revolution to UK.  Engaging with our customers to understand their needs, you will listen, design, prototype, test and iterate to bring solutions to life.  Importantly, you’ll have amazing collaboration skills. From facilitating workshops with customers to design sprints, you’ll be able to take the lead and help drive design.

 

Responsibilities of the User Experience Designer include:

 

  • Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders
  • Create personas, mind-maps, and user journeys to communicate the big picture
  • Work closely with our stakeholders and delivery teams to validate hypothesis ensuring a customer-led outcome
  • Collaborate and provide direction to key stakeholders and delivery teams in designing user experiences and processes
  • Define UX best practice, prototype, and test to validate ideas
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate to improve the overall experience

 

 

Requirements for the User Experience Designer role include:

 

  • The successful applicant will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, designing B2B applications (preferably taking products to new markets)
  • A wide range of product design experience
  • Strong understanding of human-centred design principles and early stage discovery process
  • Experience working closely with developers and other designers in a virtual and distributed world
  • Expertise of the entire design process from uncovering customer needs and pain points, to executing elegant interfaces
  • A portfolio that demonstrates high-quality design outcomes, contributing to user experience and business value

 

Our clients office is currently based in Basingstoke, however this is a largely remote role.  You will be required to travel to the office no more than once a week (following govt guidelines accordingly) and if you live over 60 miles from the office, your travel will be paid.
