I am Tim, Director and Co-Founder of Ultimate Banking along with my partner in crime, Claire. I fell into recruitment after University and have never looked back, remaining an active Consultant as well as running the business, that will never change. Going out on our own in the summer of 2008 in the midst of the biggest banking crisis in living memory may not have seemed like a good idea at the time, but I like to think it was brave rather than mad. And we’ve done ok since, you learn the best habits in a ‘down cycle’ compared to a ‘bull market’ and I continue to learn every day.
About Me: I am happily married to Laura, whom I met at University and I am a very proud father of two, seeing them grow in to young adults now which has enabled me a little more time on the golf course (my wife would consider that a severe under representation of the facts). As talk of a 3rd child started a few years I chose the lesser of 2 commitments, a dog. So you will regularly find me walking the Chilterns with our Golden Retriever, Motsi. As I alluded to, I am a keen sportsman, enjoying just about every sport there is, Olympic Triathlons are behind me now, so you will mostly find me at weekends strolling the fairways of Harleyford GC.
I am a very passionate advocate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) in the mortgage sector. It is unfortunately a well-known fact that the sector lacks in this area and as a very active member of the ‘Working in Mortgages’ group, you can hear my thoughts in writing (We Need to Talk About Diversity) and more recently, on a podcast!
