Compliance Manager

Our client is a solution led, specialist mortgage lender, offering a wide variety of later life mortgage products to the market, focussed on the borrowing needs of those aged 50+. They care passionately about their customers and are seeking an experienced compliance specialist to join their dedicated team.
This role is working closely with the Head of Compliance, ensuring that Group Entities and departments are managed and maintained to a high standard.
Our client is based in Glasgow and can offer a hybrid approach to the working week, with 3 days in the office and 2 working remotely.
Duties of the Compliance Manager will include:
- Assistance with compliance monitoring across all departments
- Conduct 1LOD reviews for the Underwriting team, including case and pre-offer call reviews, reporting on the results.
- Call and file monitoring of our outsourced loan servicer.
- Performing quality assurance checks on our in-house Mortgage Advice department.
- Review PEP and sanctions referrals when the Head of Compliance is absent.
- Supporting maintenance of various risk registers / incident management reporting
- Compliance support for HR.
- AML/CTF support for MLRO.
- Assistance with compliance reporting to senior management
The successful candidate will possess:
- Previous experience of reviewing/QA checks on Mortgage Advice documents.
- Previous experience of completing reviews on underwriting files.
- Understanding of FCA compliance framework.
