Role: Mortgage Helpdesk Adviser – 12 Month FTC 

Location: Newbury (option for hybrid working once training is complete)

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am - 5pm 

Salary: £25,497 - £27,712 dependent on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our friendly and fast paced team on a 12 month fixed term contract (Maternity Leave cover), working as part of our team on our mortgage broker helpdesk and to contribute towards achieving sales targets.   

 

You will be fully supported and provided with a clear training plan to enable you to develop the skills and experience required to: 

 

  • Take ownership for managing a variety of enquiries via phone, email and live chat. 
  • Support third party systems to ensure our products are accurately reflected and to assist brokers with our online broker service.
  • Convert new broker enquiries into applications.

 

Essential criteria:      

   

  • Proven experience of working within a telephone based customer service or sales role in a very busy working environment
  • Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, Outlook and Office 365
  • GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or equivalent 

 

Desirable criteria:        

 

  • Experience of working within a sales environment 
  • Experience of working within the financial services sector
  • Good understanding of the Mortgage industry and CeMAP qualification

 

The Interview date for this role have been set as Thurs 15th August.  The interview is face to face at the Head Office in Newbury and competency based, allowing up to a maximum of 90mins.
