Our client an established financial services provider are recruiting for an exciting opportunity which has arisen within Risk and Compliance Function. This is a hybrid Regulatory Change Manager for up to 12 months on a fixed term contract basis. This is a great opportunity for candidates who want to further expand their knowledge of the regulatory framework and wider business environment.   We are looking for candidates who are a self-starter and passionate about developing people and sharing their knowledge across the different functions in the business.

In this role you will support the Head of Compliance to deliver and advise the business on the dynamic and evolving regulatory framework. 

Responsibilities of the Regulatory Change Manager

  • Managing the regulatory change team and deputise for the Head of Compliance.
  • Monitoring the regulatory environment and identify all changes, consultations, policy statements etc. which will have an impact on the business.   To undertake detailed gap analysis against Society policies and procedures and develop an action plan to tackle any gaps in conjunction with the 1st line teams.
  • To deliver the regulatory change aspects of the annual Compliance Plan, such as documenting how the Society complies with existing regulation.
  • To communicate the key regulatory changes to the Executive and Board, driving awareness and action amongst senior leadership
  • To provide advice on regulatory matters to 1st line teams.
  • Thorough understanding is required of FCA regulatory requirements and Framework and ability to train aspects of change to the teams.

Requirements of the Regulatory Change Manager role

Ideally candidates will possess good analytical skills and have the ability to interpret and communicate regulatory matters in clear way.    The ability to effectively manage stakeholders is another important attribute of this role.  Candidates should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and staff management experience.
